Start by filling out my contact form to determine availability. I’ll get back to you within 2 business days with pricing/booking information and ready to answer any questions that you may have!

Step Two - Booking

If we’re a good match and you want to lock in your date, I require a 50% deposit and a signed contract. Once you’re booked, it's time to start preparing for your shoot! You'll receive a link to my scheduler to lock in your photoshoot.

Step Three - Shoot Consultation

Let's talk details! During your shoot consultation, we will get to know each other, discuss your needs, and gather details and inspiration for your photoshoot.

Step Four - Shoot Concept & Styling

Taking your shoot details and inspiration, I will create a photoshoot concept board that will highlight styling options, color scheme, photoshoot direction and information (location/date/time, etc.).

Step Five - Photoshoot Day :)

It's time to make magic! During your photoshoot, relax and follow my lead as I guide you with posing that will showcase your personality and complement your figure. Listen, you'll walk out of your session feeling as fabulous as you are!

Step Six - Gallery Delivery

The moment you've been waiting for! I go through every photo and choose only the very best to edit for your gallery. You'll be granted access to your private online gallery so that you can view your beautiful images.

Meet the Lady
Behind the Lens

We all want a photographer that will jump through hoops to make sure we look good in an image...you know, the one who “knows your angles” and will do anything possible to capture the perfect shot and the authentic you - no matter how many shots it takes. My name is Onyinyé, known to many as Yé or MK, and I’m that photographer :)

Based in West-Michigan, I’m a photographer, lawyer, brand strategist/designer, wife, proud Nigerian-American, and lover of all things creative. I’ve been intrigued by photography for as long as I can remember; always ready and willing to snap the perfect frame for a friend, stranger, or myself.

With over 15 years of experience in brand strategy and design, I often provide creative direction to clients and photographers on what is needed to capture “on brand” images for my clients and their brands. I know what is necessary to create the perfect frame and help you show the world how you wish to be seen.

I began to seriously pursue photography in 2020 at the height of pandemic. Being stuck in the house with tons of free time allowed me to study and hone my craft…resulting in the birth of The Stylish Shutter. I look forward to the possibility of you joining me on the other side of the lens and letting me capture you :)

The Need to Know

Frequently-Asked Questions

1How far in advance should I book my session?

I recommend that you book your session at least 4 weeks in advance so that we can properly plan out your shoot.

2When can I expect my photos?

I know you’re excited about receiving your images and I can’t wait to get them to you! Sessions are delivered with 7 business days.

3How will I receive my images?

You will receive your photos in a personal online gallery with beautifully edited high-resolution images, that you can download, share, and print as you wish!

4Can we bring our pet(s)?

Please leave your furry friends at home.

5What if there is inclement weather?

I keep an eye on the weather leading up to our session. If there is more than a 50% chance of rain, I'll make the decision to reschedule the shoot. If the session is time sensitive, we figure out an indoor option or move the session time that day if possible.

6What type of sessions do you NOT offer?

I do not provide event, wedding, or newborn photography sessions.

7Do you travel?

Yes, but a travel fee may be required depending on the location.

8Do you provide the unedited, raw image files?

The images in your gallery will be edited to improve lighting, contrast, sharpness, and color — all of which is a standard process for digital photographers. Therefore, I do not provide the unedited RAW images.
